Randall grew up in New Mexico and came to MIT in 2005 for his undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for two years in the middle of undergrad at Celeros Separations, a manufacturer of custom high-speed centrifuges for the biotech industry. Randall graduated from MIT in 2012 and then spent two years in SoCal in a Christian school and served as a volunteer on college campuses. Randall returned to Cambridge in 2014 and became the TA for the famous "Art of Electronics" class at Harvard University. During the next year he was the TA for this class three times and also helped to proof-read the companion text book written by Tom Hayes. At the same time, Randall was working as a robotics researcher on the MIT Cheetah Robot. He finished his Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering at MIT in the BioInstrumentation Laboratory. Randall started GardenByte to bring hydroponic indoor gardening into homes and restaurants around the world so that fresh food can be grown anywhere at any time of year.
